This CSY 44 Hull #1 was built in 1976 for the Miami Boat show. Very Special.
Transformed to a different yacht on the island of Barbados in 2009:
1. New Teak Rub rails, Gunwales, Companion ways, hinged for Main cabin and after cabin.
2. New 6 cylinder Yanmar 220 horse power, this is a BMW engine that Yanmar took and Marinised.
3. Exhaust is now 4 inch diameter
4. Removed the starboard water tank and installed a Fisher Panda 8 Killowat, Generator.
5. Main engine battery and Generator battery are also on that platform.
6. New drip-less stuffing box and cutlass bearing.
7. Air conditioner in V berth Saloon and aft cabin, Compressor under starboard cockpit seat
8. Original fridge and freezer with sliding top, Two new 12 volt compressors under saloon starboard seat.
9. Electrical 110 and 12 volt panel on forward starboard bulkhead.
10. Generator panel situated next to electrical panel
11. 2500 watt inverter and battery charger on the right of the electrical panel hidden behind a flap door .
12. Vertical windlass mounted on deck box with capstone, with 150 feet of Galvanised 10 mm chain.
13. Capstone mounted vertically can be used to pull from any direction when rigged with snatch-block.
14. The main mast has been replaced with a new Z Spar.
15. The sails are like new, made by Doyle in Barbados.
16. Genoa and staysail are loose foot and roller reefed, by Harkim .
17. The mainsail is battened and stowed in lazy Jacks.
18. All sailing operations are controlled from the cockpit with large port and starboard electric self -tailing winches, makes it easy for single handed sailing.
19. The Helm station was moved forward 4 inches and is now more comfortable to stand behind .
20. The Helm is now Hydraulic with auto pilot incorporated with shut off valves to the auto pilot and all housed under the bunk in the after cabin.
21. Aft there is a Garmin radar tower and a Kiss wind Generator.
22. A pair of Davits with blocks and rope stoppers make it very easy to launch the hard bottomed Zodiac rib.
23. The davit for the 8 hp Yamaha is attached to the wind Generator pole for easy lowering and lifting from the rib.
24. The Heads are electric 12 volt.
25. The hot water tank is in the after cabin next to the Washer and Dryer.
26. There is also a 12 volt water maker behind the companion way steps.
27. The aft cabin has been reconfigured with lots of storage and hanging space with the bunk now being Queen size.
28. The Air Conditioner now sits on a shelf above the washer dryer, and blows the cold air on the starboard side.
29. The Galley has been reconfigured with lots of extra space with separate 18 inch working counter top.
30. All counter tops are Corian.
31. The floor in the Saloon going forward into the V berth are all hand laid Malasian Teak, with black graphite epoxy lines.
32. The V berth has been planked on the inside with Teak, fastened on to oak frames.
33. Below the saloon floor and on either side of the lazarett are two holding tanks which are hooked up to both heads with valves which allow you to pump overboard or in tanks. There is a masarater pump attached.
34. There is a 40 gallon fiberglass tank tucked away on the starboard side in front of the aft sleeping area, it was used for extra diesel to run the generator
35. The helm station houses all instruments.
36. All port windows in the after cabin, were plastic, these have been upgraded to Bronze.
37. The auto pilot is Com Nav.
38. The Chart Plotter, Radar, GPS and depth Sounder are Garmin.
39. The Fuel Tank holds 100 gallons
40. There are Two Racor filters, one for the main and one for the genset.
41. The house batteries are 700+ ampere hours.
42. The Starting batter is a heavy duty Cat battery.
43. The generator has its own starting battery.
44. The Main engine has a 150 amp alternator.
45. The fuel tank has a sender unit that registers at the helm.
46. The water tank also registers at the helm.
47. Extra anchor, rope, etc. in the aft lazaret.
48. Has seen 14 Knots motor sailing.
49. Displacement weight is almost 20 tons.
50. She draws 6 ft.
Hulll #1 that is the strongest and heaviest CSY and draws an inch more than any of the others. Amazingly fast under power.
